
This international workshop which took place at the International Design Center Nagoya is a study on the role of design in the creative tourism industry, and notably questioned how traditional craft industries and new design practices can be merged together in order to better define Nagoya’s local culture.
The concept was inspired by “Retail Therapy, or the Role of Design in the Souvenir Industry” a research paper written by Sali Sasaki in 2007 for ICOGRADA’s World Congress in Havana.
