French Idol New Wave

Friday, June 15th, 2007

nouvel_star.jpg

Visual make-over of the Nouvelle Star logo (Nouvelle Star is the French version of Pop Idol) to match controversed cutting-edge winner Julien Doré, who happens to be related to XIXth century French illustrator Gustave Doré. Everyone is going nuts over the new idol in France. Americans are outraged by his victory. His style is an odd mix of vintage rock, disco, cha-cha-cha and humour all capturing the attention of both mass media and underground artsy types.   Links: Dig Up Elvis -  Jean d’Ormesson Disco Suicide -  Nouvelle Star
